Why Choose H&H Photography?

Anyone can get your family to pose, say "smile" and snap a photograph. What makes Heart & Haven different is the ability to capture the authenticity of your family. Don't worry...You will receive a handful of traditional style photos, but you will also receive a gallery full of emotion, connection and memories. My goal is for each image to make you feel the warm and fuzzies each and every time you look at it.

What is your style?

This is a hard one to answer. As an artist, I anticipate my style to continuously evolve. The best representation of my style and artistic vision are the images I share on my website and in my portfolio. I love natural light and I strive to highlight the natural beauty of families and individuals. Because of this, you likely won't see me using many props because I think you and your family are beautiful the way you are. My goal is for you to see the beauty too. 

I've booked a session now what?

Expect me to reach out to you to see what your expectations for the session are. We will decide on a location and finalize plans for the session. I do ask that you sign a contract (yes boring legal stuff) to protect myself and you! I do this to ensure that you have a positive experience with no surprises. 

Why do you require a deposit?

Just as yours, my time is valuable. Photography sessions take time to prepare for. Last minute cancellations, take time away from spending time with my own family or booking other sessions. This helps protect me and to ensure you are serious about the session. With that said, I know emergencies happen and I am a reasonable person.  Please reach out to me with any conflicts that may arise. Per my contract, deposits are refundable if sessions are canceled at least 2 weeks in advance. Deposits are transferable to future sessions except for same day cancellations or no shows. In the event of those circumstances, the deposit will be non-refundable. 

What should we wear?

Oh there is so much that could be recommended here! Sometimes pictures speak louder than words so check out Heart & Haven's Pinterest site for style info and recommendations. I scoured Pinterest to find legit sites with good info for styling photography sessions. The button below will take you to my Pinterest page. Look for the boards about styling and color palettes for some great info! Enjoy!

Our session is over... when will I get my images and how?

My goal is to have your images edited and delivered into a personal gallery within four weeks of your session. Sometimes this may be a little longer especially at busy times of the year, depending on the type of session, and depending on my work load. However, I will notify you at the time of booking or completion of the session if I think it will take me longer. If for any reason, I will not be able to meet that time frame I give you, I will notify you and update you on the progress. If you are needing to meet a deadline to receive your pictures (ie...you need them to order invitations or something similar), let me know ASAP to make sure I can complete your gallery in that time frame. Once your photos are edited, you will receive an e-mail with a link and instructions on how to access your gallery. You will be able to download images directly from your gallery. You can also purchase prints, canvases, and other products from my lab through your gallery.
